Frequently Asked Questions

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Gift Certificates.
Cash is preferred.


Which insurance companies do you work with?

We do not submit insurance claims on your behalf.

However, we have several clients whose insurance plans fully or partially reimburse therapeutic massage. After your session, you will receive an emailed receipt that you may submit directly to your individual insurance provider for reimbursement.


Do you cater to groups?

Yes! We can accommodate groups of up to six guests.

We love when clients come in with friends or significant others. Please reach out to us via text or email so we can assist you with coordinating schedules and reserving your group appointments.


How do I cancel an appointment?

If you opted for email reminders, you will find the cancellation link in your appointment confirmation or reminder email.

If you opted for text reminders, you will find the link there to confirm or modify your appointment.

We kindly ask that you notify us more than 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel. This allows your therapist time to reach out to clients on the waitlist and fill the appointment, helping avoid a large gap in their schedule.

If you are canceling same day or less than 24 hours in advance, please also send us a text to ensure we receive your message promptly.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment:

  • A cancellation fee will be applied to the card on file.

  • If no card is on file, you will receive an invoice due upon receipt.

Please note that this fee goes directly to your therapist to compensate them for the time reserved to prepare for and provide your session.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.


I want to book a couples session but keep it a surprise for my guest. How?

Text us at (860) 431-0881 for scheduling assistance.

We will reserve both therapists under your account and provide your guest with a paper intake form upon arrival if they have never visited us before. This ensures our scheduling system does not send automated notifications that would spoil the surprise.


I want to schedule and pay for a session for someone else. How?

If you want to keep it a surprise:

Schedule the appointment using your own account. This prevents automated notifications from being sent to your guest and keeps everything a surprise.

If you do NOT need to keep it a surprise:

Purchase a gift certificate online, then text us their full name, email address, and phone number. We will create their account on their behalf and assist with scheduling the appointment directly with them. The gift certificate will be applied at checkout.


What is the best method of contact?

Text messaging (860-431-0881) during normal business hours is preferred. 

AMTC is a mom-owned business. With the incredible support of our team, Gia manages all aspects of business operations while also seeing clients.

When we are in session, our phones are not on. Some days involve long hours of hands-on work, and we may not always be able to respond the same day. Voicemails are not checked as frequently as text messages.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding and always do our very best to respond as quickly as possible.
